This Month at HQ...

What have we been up to this time...

Team Bodysocks!!

After a working hard this month the Bodysocks team looked forward to a day out at the races together over the Easter bank holiday weekend! We all enjoyed the trip to Fos Las race course in South Wales, some even picked a winner whilst others got a little more than they bargained for!

This month at Bodysocks we introduce James from the team! James has been here with us for nearly six months now and has been instrumental in the design of our new websites among other things! James is a recent graduate and has been able to demonstrate his creativity freely here at Bodysocks..

Firstly, I'd like to apologise for not posting to the blog last month. We have been very busy with the big move to our new warehouse now complete. With lots of deliveries on their way in time for Halloween, we are very excited about the next few months!

FOAM COSTUMES

A new range of foam costumes will be arriving at Bodysocks sometime this week! These simple yet very awesome costumes come in one size and would look brilliant at your next fancy dress or stag party! Check out a few of our favorites below!

NEW PIGGYBACK COSTUMES

Further additions to our stuffed piggyback range arrived last month. These deluxe baby and gorilla costumes feature realistic latex masks which really add to the illusion that you are being carried on the shoulders of these characters! These hilarious costumes are available on our website now! We also have a new addition to this brilliant range arriving in time for Halloween, so keep an eye out for that one!

We have had tremendous fun filming some promotional videos this year. Two of them have already been posted onto our Facebook page and have received some brilliant feedback from viewers! "These suits were the hit of our Memorial Day Survivor Challenge camping weekend. Taking a little inspiration from Ellen and her Sumo games we decided the frogs were a better match for us! And who could not love them. Good quality. Despite some aggressive soccer, a bit of wrestling, and kids and 6'7" adults squeezing into them they are still intact and work well. As you can see we really enjoyed them."

KIDS RANGE EXPANDING

Followers of our blog will know that we recently expanded our Kid's inflatable range. Well, we've decided to add even more, with six new costumes due in stock within the next week! Perfect for parties or just dressing up around the house we're sure your children will love our latest products.

COSTUME IDEA

We're always thinking of new ways to make our costumes look even better, our favourite one this month involves the Inflatable Green Man costume. Using some green face paint you can turn yourself into an awesome Green Monster!!

BODYSOCKS ON TV

A children's program called 'Scrambled' recently got in touch with us. They required some of  our inflatable costumes to use on a part of their show, the Fat Suit dance off! Our costumes are to be aired on the show every Sunday until the end of the series on April 16th. Tune in, I'm sure your kids will find our costumes hilarious! 

Scrambled is on CITV FROM 7:30am every Sunday.

NEW WAREHOUSE

We are currently in the process of building a new warehouse which will soon become Bodysocks Head Quarters. We are very excited at the prospect of moving into a much bigger space, allowing us to keep more stock and ensure that our costumes are always available to customers. The warehouse should be ready in a couple of months and we will release photos once it is ready, exciting times indeed!

WELCOME TO OUR NEW BLOG!

Now that we are well into the new Year we thought it was about time we stuck to one of our 2017 resolutions here at Bodysocks – starting a Blog! Every month we will keep you updated with the latest news here at our HQ, everything from our favourite photo of the month to introducing you to the latest costumes to arrive here at our South Wales base. Our favourite photo this month has to be this one sent into our Facebook by Denise Barby. A lot of effort obviously went into this Jamaican Bobsleigh team costume, so much so that Denise’s 82 Year old mother even came along as their coach, fantastic effort!

NEW YEARS DAY SWIM

It was around November 2016 when we received a message asking if we could help with the famous New Years Day swim held in Saundersfoot. We, of course, jumped at the opportunity to contribute to this fantastic event which seems to get bigger and better every year.

 

2017 'Cold Cup' Runners

The ‘Cold Cup’ is a brilliant feature on the day and involved 8 locals each representing a different pub based in Saundersfoot, they only had one thing missing, animals to race on! We were delighted to be able to supply some of our inflatable animal costumes to the race. The race itself was great fun and the feedback we received back from some of the spectators regarding our costumes certainly made it all worthwhile.

We’d like to thank the organisers for giving us the chance to get involved and can hopefully look forward to a different range of costumes being displayed in the 2018 ‘Sand National’.

ELLY'S WARD 10 FLAG APPEAL

We were very touched by a visit from a local hero back in November. Elly is a very inspiring young girl who has raised a staggering amount of money for 'Ward 10' at our local hospital in Haverfordwest. Elly’s father Lyn got in touch with us about donating a costume to the cause and we didn’t hesitate in inviting Elly round to our warehouse and offering her a children’s inflatable dinosaur costume, which judging by Elly’s face, she loved it! KIDS COSTUMES

After Seeing the joy on young Elly's face we were inspired to expand our Children’s range! Coming in March this year we have an expanded range of ride on inflatable costumes which kids will love! With a mixture of farmyard, safari and mythical animals we are sure to have a costume your child will love riding around for hours on end! We also have hilarious Musclemen and Sumo costumes which will steal all the laughs at your child’s next big party!

RUGBY

And finally….

We couldn’t leave this blog without mentioning the up and coming Six Nations. We are very excited for the feast of rugby we will be treated to over the next few weeks and are hoping Wales can finish at the top!
